STURGEON RECREATION CENTER General Information The Sturgeon Recreation Center was made possible in part by hard work and dedication of many Sturgeon residents.  To insure the success of the Center we need the community's continued support.  Volunteers are needed to insure our children, seniors and families a properly supervised center.  Donations are welcome, make your tax deductible donation to the Sturgeon Recreation Center c/o The City of Sturgeon. AVAILABILITY SCHEDULE Sunday through Friday Sunday - Friday Morning and Afternoon 4:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Senior and standard cardholders Sunday - Friday Evening's 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Walkins Saturday Not open for walk-ins Standard cardholders - 4:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. ANNUAL PASS CARD HOLDER FEES All annual memberships include one (1) magnetic entry card. Replacement cards are $10.00 each Family Annual Membership................$150.00/yr. Single Annual Membership................$75.00/yr. Senior Annual Membership................$35.00/yr. MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES Entry Cards - $10.00 Family Monthly Membership................$20.00/month. Single Monthly Membership................$15.00/month. DAILY WALK-IN FEE/GUEST FEE $3.00/Per person Friday evening and Saturday rentals will take priority in the scheduling of any activities at the Recreation Center.  The Recreation Center will not be available for general use if rented.  However, regularly scheduled City activities will take precedence over rental requests. GUESTS - must be accompanied by an eligible Resident/Alumni and are required to pay applicable daily fee.  One guest per resident per visit allowed.  Resident/Alumni are totally responsible for the behavior and actions of their guest at all times.  Guest must sign in with the resident and leave with the resident.  EXCEPTION: A resident may bring more than one guest if they are a relative visiting from out of town. MONITORS/VOLUNTEERS - The Center is operated by volunteer monitors.  If you are willing to volunteer one evening per month or more, please contact the City Office, a member of the Sturgeon Recreation Board or a member of the Sturgeon Recreation Association.  All monitors must be at least 18 years of age, have a background check on file and Mayor approval. ACCESS - In the mornings a monitor will not be present, therefore, a magnetic card access system will be the method of entry.  All annual pass card holders will be issued one magnetic card at the time they buy their membership.  Additional or replacement cards will cost $10.00 each. NOT FOR PROFIT - This facility is being operated "NOT FOR PROFIT", all user and rental fees collected go toward the operating cost of the Recreation Center.  We strongly encourage annual pass cards as the most economical and efficient method of management. GENERAL RULES OF THE FACILITY The Center has been designed for the use and enjoyment of all the residents living within the Sturgeon School District and Alumni of the School District.  Appropriate behavior is required.  The following guidelines have been established: No food or drink allowed on floor or mezzanine. No Smoking allowed in the facility.  Smoking is allowed outside the building only. No alcohol is allowed in the facility except that which has been permitted under Rental Conditions or City Sponsored Activities or Events. Youth who have not reached the 7th grade must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older at all times. No littering. HOLIDAY SCHEDULE The Sturgeon Recreation Center will observe the following holidays and will be closed.  However the center will be available for rent. (Need not be a resident) Sturgeon Recreation Center Rental Rates and Guidelines - PDF Format Deposit - $100.00 Rent: Friday Noon until Saturday 6:00 a.m. - $150.00 Friday after 8:30 p.m. until Saturday 6 a.m. - $50.00 Saturday 6:00 a.m. until Sunday 6:00 a.m. - $200.00 Sunday 6:00 a.m. until Sunday 6:30 p.m. - $100.00 Monday - Thursday and Holidays - $125.00 There are 27 tables and 130 chairs available.
